Dear Friends,
Starting May 9, 2021, we have extended our food donations service to cover the Temple city of Madurai as well. We have given 5 kg of rice to Transgender folks here. Our heartfelt thanks to our friends who have enabled us to help them. No words to say really. On the ground, events are not proceeding in the right direction. We continue to lose most of our people to COVID. In addition, people continue to be afflicted with poverty.
It’s painful to watch them. We are helping the poor and needy. We are specifically focused on roadside workers, jobless (auto drivers, electricians, plumbers, painters, old homeless & household workers), physically challenged people, blind and transgender folk. Last year, we served more than 1,500 families with rice. Most of our friends contributed and enabled us to serve needy people. We are still helping and will continue to help. We had hoped that the pandemic situation will end but it has turned more aggressive instead.
